Vision Builders 2026
Build with us.
Our year of Renewal by the Spirit.
A letter to One City
From Pastor Jesse
Saturday, 18th April 2026
Dear family and friends of One City,
This past week, Eva and I went to visit a couple who had just welcomed their baby girl. Her arrival was especially moving, because she came during the anniversary week of her parents, whose wedding we had officiated. And she is one of many babies who have come into the One City family in the past year. Our family is growing. Hallelujah!
As young ministers and church planters, it warms our hearts that we get to witness and play a small part in the story God is writing in that family. And it is not just them. The testimonies of transformation and renewal that come to us, week after week, are both humbling and motivating.
We want to see more of this. Gospel renewal transforming lives, marriages, and homes. Addicts recovering. Prodigals coming home. The poor lifted. The lonely drawn into a family. Children growing up knowing the Father by name. Young leaders trained well and sent into cities, across spheres, all over the world. Creatives discovering their craft has a calling, and professionals carrying the gospel into their Monday. Whole streets, whole workplaces, whole households marked by the powerful, surprising work of the gospel. Jesus' prayer in John 17 beginning to come true among us.
We want to see it, and we believe we will see it. But we cannot do it alone.
“I will build my church…” — Jesus says in Matthew 16:18. He did not say you will build my church for me. He said he would build it. The work is his to finish, not ours to save. And yet, in mercy, he has invited us to co-labour with him, which means our part, however small, has eternal weight. What a privilege.
So I am writing today, not only to invite you to dream with us, but to build with us. Dreams do not come true through admiration. They come true when people decide, together, to lay down time, prayers, and money for a work bigger than themselves.
Every church that has ever mattered was built by people like this. We call them, at One City, Vision Builders. To be a Vision Builder is to say that the work of this church is your work too.
It will take all of us. And all of us is enough.
If you are part of One City, I am asking you to prayerfully consider becoming a Vision Builder in 2026. If you have been blessed by what God is doing here from a distance, I am asking the same.
Come dream with us. Come build with us.
Thank you for reading, and thank you, already, for what you carry.
With love and great hope,
— Jesse Dan-Yusuf
