Respectful Use

Our digital spaces should reflect the character of Christ: truthful, gracious, lawful, and respectful toward other people.

Church Resources

Sermons, writing, media, and ministry tools are shared to serve people and strengthen discipleship, not for misuse or exploitation.

Fair Boundaries

These terms help protect the church, our community, and anyone who engages with our site, forms, registrations, or accounts.

1. Welcome

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the One City Abuja website and any related digital experiences we provide, including public pages, forms, event registrations, giving information, media, and account-based features.

By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the parts of the site that require that agreement. We want these terms to be clear, fair, and consistent with the kind of church community we are trying to build.

2. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to anyone who visits the website, subscribes to updates, creates an account, submits information through a form, registers for an event, accesses member features, or engages with any digital service connected to One City Abuja.

Some ministries, events, or services may have additional instructions or guidelines. When that happens, those extra terms will apply alongside this page.

3. How you may use the site

You may use the site for lawful, personal, ministry-related, and informational purposes. You may read, share, and engage with our resources in ways that respect the church, other people, and the integrity of the site.

  • Do not use the site in a way that breaks the law, infringes rights, or harms the church or another person.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, admin tools, or data that does not belong to you.
  • Do not misuse forms, spam the site, impersonate another person, or submit false or misleading information.
  • Do not interfere with the site through malicious code, scraping, automated abuse, denial-of-service activity, or other harmful technical behaviour.

4. Accounts and member access

If you create an account or use a member area, you are responsible for providing accurate information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are also responsible for activity that happens under your account unless the issue is caused by our own failure to protect the system.

We may suspend, restrict, or remove access if we believe an account is being used unlawfully, dishonestly, abusively, or in a way that threatens the safety of others or the integrity of the platform.

5. Giving, registrations, and transactions

The website may include information about giving, event registrations, or other ministry-related transactions. Any gift you make is voluntary and, unless otherwise stated, is treated as a contribution to support the work of the church.

If a payment or registration is processed through a third-party service, that provider may apply its own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the independent policies of those external platforms.

If you believe a donation or payment was submitted in error, contact us promptly. We may review refund or correction requests at our discretion and in line with applicable law, church policy, and the nature of the transaction.

6. Prayer requests and pastoral communication

Some parts of the site may allow you to request prayer, ask for support, or contact the church for pastoral follow-up. We receive those messages in good faith and aim to handle them with care, but submitting a form does not create a professional counselling relationship or guarantee immediate response.

Please do not rely on the site for urgent medical, mental health, legal, or emergency needs. If you are in immediate danger or crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified local professional right away.

7. Content, teaching, and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this site, including text, graphics, sermon media, teaching resources, logos, branding, and design elements, belongs to One City Abuja or is used with permission. Those rights are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may share our public content for personal encouragement, ministry reference, or non-commercial purposes if you do not alter it in a misleading way and you credit the source appropriately. You may not reproduce, sell, republish, or commercially exploit site content without prior written permission.

8. Links to third-party sites and services

Our website may link to third-party platforms such as streaming services, social channels, registration tools, maps, donation platforms, or external resources. Those sites are operated independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, and practices.

We provide those links for convenience, but linking does not mean we control or guarantee every aspect of a third-party platform. You use external services at your own discretion and subject to their terms.

9. Community conduct in digital spaces

Where the site or connected platforms allow interaction, we expect conduct that is respectful, honest, and fitting for a Christian community. We may moderate, restrict, or remove content or participation that undermines that standard.

  • No harassment, threats, hate, abusive language, or degrading behaviour.
  • No fraudulent fundraising, unauthorised promotions, or commercial solicitation.
  • No posting or transmitting material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or harmful to others.
  • No use of church platforms to manipulate, impersonate, or deceive people.

10. Site availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the site accurate, useful, and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every page, file, or feature will always be error-free. Ministry details, event schedules, and digital features may change over time.

The site and its content are provided on an as available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. While we try to keep information current and reliable, you should confirm important details directly with the church when the matter is time-sensitive or significant.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, One City Abuja will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, your inability to access it, third-party services linked from it, or your reliance on general website content.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a court finds part of this section unenforceable, the rest of the terms will continue to apply.

12. Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these terms from time to time as our website, ministries, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will update the revision date on this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, except where another mandatory law applies. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@onecityabuja.com.
